con your way out of a writing rut
Say HELLO if you see me at a conference!

Hello! My name isĀ  Angela Tague.

I create marketing content such as blog posts, social media updates, white papers, online articles, e-books and landing pages for major brands including Kaytee, Sleep Number, Zilla, Coupons.com, Hill’s Pet, a2 Milk and Tom’s of Maine.

I focus on lifestyle, health, wellness, pets, entrepreneurship, small business, finance andĀ digital marketing topics. But, I’mĀ also open to learning something new!

I also provide feature content to newspapers and print magazines.

I’ve worked in news writing and photography since 1998. After I attained a BA in Journalism and Mass Communications at the University of Iowa, my journalism career led to positions at The Quad-City Times in Davenport, Iowa; The Sioux City Journal in Sioux City, Iowa and several weeklies in the Midwest.

I left my last newspaper job in 2009 to freelance for brands and media outlets full time.Ā I was named Writer of the Year 2012 by Skyword, a global content marketing agency.

You can learn more about my work by listening to The Brand Journalism Advantage podcast, TBJA 011 Angela Tague: How To Get The Best Freelance Writing Assignments and browsing this brief bio on Cision/HARO.

Aerial yoga rocks!

I also blog about writing.Ā  The Web Writing Advice blog is your resource for tips and tricks to make writing online enjoyable, profitable and successful!

You can find me sharing my journey with autoimmune disease and health tips for mind/body wellness on my personal blog, Cupcakes and Yoga Pants!

In addition to writing, I enjoy baking gluten-free treats, spending time on my yoga mat, designing photographic greeting cards and exploring nature trails with my dog Leo in beautiful Iowa.

If your marketing agency or platform needs a new freelance writer on the roster, let’s chat!

    1. Hi Alan, Thanks so much for visiting and sharing your kind words! It’s a tough gig, but rewarding once the ball gets rolling. Be sure to apply to opportunities and send query letters each week. Many will say ‘no’, but someone will finally give you a break! Good luck! ~Angela
